Our Non-Profit

Unlike other waste, glass has no market value, despite being a 100% recyclable waste, only 12% is recovered, which means that year after year, raw material is extracted to manufacture more bottles. Closing the cycle seeks to encourage an economic interest in society for its collection and transformation of glass bottles, in this way its use generates an alternative of self-employment for women whose situation prevents them from obtaining a source of income.

Through our training and workshops, we create awareness in society to make the most of the resources we have and move to a circular economy.

  • We transform women into agents of change
  • We transform a waste into a new product and
  • We transform a bottle into a job opportunity

We empower women to become «Recycling Entrepreneurs».

It is not only a training in bottle recycling techniques but talks and workshops on entrepreneurship, empowerment of self-esteem and creativity.

Who do we support?

We work with different communities, mainly with women who are in a difficult situation and need support to get ahead. We show them that, with perseverance and determination, they can generate growth opportunities for themselves and their families through the implementation of productive projects with the recycling of waste, especially glass.

Our Programs

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ON WASTE

We offer courses, workshops and talks to all people interested in strengthening their environmental awareness and moving from a lifestyle of «Consume and throw away», to one of «Circular Economy» and «Ecological Ethics».

CAPACITY INSTALLATION

In collaboration with companies and/or government, we can bring this economic alternative to other communities, implementing key in hand production workshops. We take care of installing the necessary machinery, tools and supplies, as well as monitoring and marketing actions to achieve successful production projects.

RECYCLING ENTREPRENEURS

Our program with the greatest impact is «Glass recycling entrepreneurs», which thanks to the support of companies and people who buy our products, we train women in vulnerable situations, not only in glass reuse and recycling techniques, but also make them aware of environmental problems, we strengthen their confidence, we trigger their creativity and we support them to structure their entrepreneurship. They become agents of change. As of February 1, 2022, we have trained 583 women.

We won, 2017, 1st place in the «Visibility of the Actions and Results of NGOs against poverty and inequality» call.
